Paul Duffy (b 10 April 1878 in Pamlico Co, d 2 August 1937 in New Bern) married first Lucy May Belle Clark* (daughter of Thomas Clark [b 2 October 1852, d 16 July 1908] and Margaret L Jones [b 22 March 1850, d 30 July 1921], b 14 May 1880, d in childbirth 20 September 1906, buried in Cedar Grove Cemetery, New Bern) on 11 May 1901 in Arapahoe, Pamlico Co, and married Mamie Jane Dixon (b 25 November 1889 in Pamlico Co, d 24 October 1977 in Morehead City, Carteret County, daughter of Major Dixon and Gillie Tingle) on 3 June 1909 at the residence of J.P. Swindell in Pamlico Co.
 
Although Paul Duffy Cahoon never lived in Florida, Mamie Jane moved there temporarily (where her mother had moved with a second husband) and Mamie Jane was granted a divorce in Hillsborough County, Florida, from Paul Duffy Cahoon in 1928.
 
Paul Duffy's children with Lucy May Belle Clark include Leamon (b 15 September 1903, d 18 August 1975) and Alice "Belle" (b. 20 September 1906 in Pamlico Co, d 28 September 1997 in New Bern).
 
Paul Duffy's children with Mamie Jane Dixon include Oscar Cecil (b. 10 April 1911 in Merritt, d 8 September 1969 in Aurora, Beaufort Co), Deaver Blanch (b 13 March 1913, d 23 September 1994), Challie (b 18 September 1914, d 4 April 1990) and Paul Duffy Jr (b 21 November 1920, d 24 October 1998).
 
*Lucy's parents, Thomas Clark and Margaret Jones, married in 1874 and had 11 children, all born in Pamlico County, but only five survived to adulthood: Mary V "Mamie" (b 1876, d 15 October 1943 in Norfolk, VA, married to George Warren Hay, then to --- Williams), Lucy May Belle, Cloey Armeta "Meta" (b 28 November 1882, d 10 November 1947), Louisa Virginia "Tommie" (b October 1886) and James F (b October 1892).
 
Alice J (b 11 August 1883, d 11 October 1904) married Isaac Willoughby Swindell (b 20 February 1879, d 13 January 1969, son of Albin B Swindell and Mary Elizabeth Gray) on 23 December 1903 in the bride's residence in Pamlico Co Township 2. Their children included (unknown first daughter), Lena Mae (b 22 April 1909 in Merritt, d 4 February 1997), and (unknown third daughter).

Their children include Vernon McColon (b 23 September 1915 in Pamlico Co, d 7 February 1937 in Pamlico Co), Maggie Edwin (b 18 April 1918 in Merritt, d 15 December 2004 in New Bern), Wilford (15 December 1921, d February 1990 [possibly in New York]), and Calvin C (unknown).
 
Wilford Henry's draft registration dated 25 May 1917 reflects that he was employed by New York, New Haven, & Hartford Railroad Co. to work on the steamer Tennessee from Providance, New York.

Their children include Alton (unknown), Hosea (unknown), Melvin (unknown), Erbal Whitehurst (b 16 May 1901, d September 1985), Bessie (b 25 January 1903 in Grantsboro, d 2 June 1994), Clara Bell (b 30 April 1905), Weymouth Bommer (b 9 September 1908, d 10 June 1993 in Grantsboro), Harold Gordon (b 30 July 1914, d 24 April 2002 in New Bern), and Donald Wesley (b 27 January 1920, d 9 January 1987).
